Cohen, who usually plays in midfield but has started the season as a full-back, faces around a year out after suffering knee ligament damage during the home defeat to East Midlands rivals Derby last weekend. Hill is likely to replace him in the starting XI at left-back.
Cohen joins midfielders George Boateng (ankle) and Paul Anderson (hamstring) and forwards Garath McCleary and Dexter Blackstock (both knee) on the sidelines.
Brendan Moloney, Lewis McGugan, Robbie Findley and Marcus Tudgay, who all came into the side for the Carling Cup defeat to Newcastle, will be hoping to have done enough to retain their places.
